History of the Pepper Tree Buildings

The restaurant portion of the building is the original home of the Denize Family built in 1928 and boasts original Kauri wood floors. The homestead was moved forward in 1994 to its current location and the bar, kitchen and verandas were built the same year, forming what is known today as the Pepper Tree Restaurant & Bar.

The actual grand Pepper tree is over 100 years old and continues to be a landmark in the Coromandel township.
